Meet Our Veterinary Team
Smith Veterinary Clinic is a full-service animal hospital offering veterinary services of wellness and preventive care, surgeries, and dental care. Our veterinary staff has years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care.
Dr. Vickie Smith is a 1980 graduate of Kansas State University. She started her own equine practice in 1983 and spent about 20 years doing primarily equine ambulatory practice before transitioning to primarily small animal practice.
Dr. Smith’s interest in the “One Health” movement prompted her to earn a Masters in Public Health with an emphasis in Infectious Disease and Zoonoses from Kansas State University in 2014.
Dr. Smith has two grown daughters and still owns horses and dogs. Her current pet is a Pembroke Corgi rescue born with corneal edema. Dr. Smith’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is being able to contribute to the human animal bond and the health and welfare of animals and their humans.
